Grotta di Posilippo, Hand Colored Engraving (1842)

This stunning view of the Neapolitan Crypt is the key to linking Ancient Rome to Naples, Italy. Referred to as Grotta di Posilippo, this landmark tunnel was integral to linking the waterways in Neapolitan society. This beautifully detailed, hand-colored engraving is from a collection named Costume Antico e Modern (Outfits of the Ages and Modern Day) by Dr Giulo Ferrario.
