William Tell, complete with the apple overhead! Another spectacular Wissembourg stone lithograph panel (no. 31) printed by the C. Burckardt company in Weissenburg, France during the 1880s. This is part of a series of panel posters featuring whimsical images of animals, random Alsatian characters, and comical caricatures all designed in a stunning Art Nouveau style. A fantastic vintage image.  

Condition: Very Good. Age-appropriate wear, this poster consists of two sheets joined together, and is conservation mounted on linen. There is some light fading and foxing on the previous fold lines.
