We love these unique paper dolls (or puppets as they were known) printed by Rudolph Ackermann, the successor to the C Burckardt printing company in Wissembourg. The puppets, two of a series of many, depict Weihmachtsmann (Santa Claus in German) and Don Quixote. We wouldn't dare cut these of course, but they were meant to be fun entertainment for the kids back in the day. The imagery on these stone lithographs is outstanding, and the pair will add a unique vintage flair to your favorite space. Printer stamps No 346 and 347.
