Italian cuisine is as diverse and complex as the country's geography. The gastronimic map of Italy on this vintage poster shows you all this wonderful country has to offer; from Parma cheese in the north-west region, to Carpano alcohol found just south east off Naples near Mount Vesuvius (where wine production proliferates due its vast composition of  volcanic soil).

The history of this 1949 advertisement is traced back to the oldest vermouth in Italy, Carpano. In 1868 Carpano began heavy international exportations due to initial lack of domestic demand. Thankfully, nowadays, you can find this Italian staple on shelves all over America. It is most commonly infused with herbs such as ginger root, peppermint leaves, rhubarb leaf or chamomile, to name a few! This classic piece is perfect for your kitchen, living room or wine cellar. Bellissimo!
