This spectacular piece was designed in 1930 for the first round of the English stage play production of "Aladdin". Wait as second...is that a female Aladdin?! A novelty for the time, this fabulous piece was used to debut local Pantomimes (professional English stage productions), where female were known to assume the rolls of male leads from time to time. Not only that, but men also played the rolls of villainous female characters to save face with a female audience! What a piece of history that is.

This stunning poster was used to promote local Christmas pantomimes that featured professional productions of classic fairy tales. Produced by Taylors of Wombwell, one of the premier poster makers of the time, this piece of art is a true representation of the era.
