Henri Matisse's 1970 art exhibition at the Grand Palais was a sublime experience for all the senses. The vibrant colors, expressive brushstrokes, and exciting compositions made it clear that this was one of his most fruitful artistic periods in terms of both creativity and whimsy.

The exhibition provided visitors with an interactive visual journey through some of his best works from 1905 to 1951; it featured over 100 works of art including abstract sketches and colorful paintings spanning the duration of Matisse's long career.

The Grand Palais is a historic French monument dedicated to "the glory of French art." Located on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, it serves as an iconic building in Paris. It was designed for the Universal Exhibition in 1900 and designated as a historical site by France's Ministry of Culture & Communication in 2000.

This original vintage art exhibition poster is the next best thing to an original Matisse on canvas!
