A fan of pop art? If so, the name Roy Lichtenstein likely rings a bell. Renowned in the 70s as the "Prince of Pop Art", Lichtenstein made waves in the art scene with his unique, novelty style. In hand with Andy Warhol, Jasper Jones and James Rosenquist, Lichtenstein contributed heavily to the new art movement by pioneering "pop art through parody."

Heavily influenced by his famed cubist predecessor Picasso, Roy Lichtenstein's "Still Life" is a masterpiece of modern art. Upon a keen look, Lichtenstein included several early modern movements in his work. Futurism being one of them, a genre complicit with freighted social issues and political manifestos. What a phenomenal work of art!

This incredible poster was sold from February 16 to April 30th 1995 at the Los Angeles Museum of Modern art to advertise an exhibition of Lichtenstein most famous works. A fantastic piece of art history.
