Yellow Earth

Zolta Ziemia or "Yellow Earth" in English was a Chinese film released in 1984. Marking the directorial debut for Chen Kaige, "Yellow Earth" went on to rank fourth in a top 100 list for the Best Chinese Motion Pictures at the Hong Kong Film Festival in 2005.

When a young village girl will do anything in her power to renounce her families age old traditions, there's no telling the lengths she will go to rebel against her own people. Desperate for a sense of identity and a semblance of freedom, young village girl Cui Qiao will do anything it takes to survive on the run.

How about these graphics! Designed by Polish illustrator Wieslaw Walkuski for the first-release of this film in Poland in 1986, Walkuski spares no time immediatley engulfing you in imagery. Featuring a cracked ivory egg shell dripping in blood, this vintage film poster will be a conversation starter to say the least.

This striking piece of art will frame expertly.
