With the Soviet Union flag flying high on the Eiffel Tower in Paris, this poster is part of a fascinating piece of history. "Jamais!" literally translates to "Never". According to Wikipedia:  In response to the Stockholm Appeal, the Paix et Liberté was created in 1950, to counter the activities of the French Communist Party. Using a series of posters attacking the Soviet Union and communist ideology, its propaganda efforts received substantial financial backing from the United States and operated from 1950-1955.
