Mitchell Maps were proven to be the most comprehensive maps of both the Eastern and Western Hemisphere. Named after creator Augustus Mitchell, these maps were the primary source of boundary redistricting during the Treaty of Paris for the newly independent United States in the late 1700s. Consider yourself lucky if you manage to get your hands on this unique piece of history! Note, check out the ornate bordering on each map; the trademark stamp of a Mitchell Map!
