Arts Menagers by Paul Colin

Arts Menagers was a renowned annual exhibition in Paris. It was put on by the National Ministry of Education, and was known to showcase the hottest furniture, home décor and domestic appliances on the European market. This phenomenal poster is advertising the Parisian exhibition that was set to take place at the Grand Palais on the 26th of January, and the 12th of February.

With French poster artist Paul Colin celebrated for his highly stylized and caricaturized Art Deco style, it comes as no surprise that he was chosen to design the artwork for a societal event paying homage to the arts. Featuring a diligent blue-man group adorned with tools, gears, and a primitive painters palette - there's no telling what they'll create next! With our leading craftsman fitted with spectacles and an all-too-familiar head scratch, it appears his team is about to hit the drawing board for their next creation.

Everything from Colin's use of overlapping elements to his juxtaposed geometric overlays are simply a sight to behold. This gorgeous vintage piece will look fantastic in any home lucky enough to display its brilliance. Art Deco at its finest.
