Bitter Secrestat

Known for making waves post American prohibition, Bitter Secrestat was a French aperitif that soared in popularity in the early 1930s. Bitter Secrestat was renowned for its use of Gentain bitters, composed of a cocktail of exotic flowers enhanced with citrus.

In this iconic artwork by American artist Robert Wolff (known professionally as Robys), we note his use of French national colors to define his illustrative palette. A joyous bartender can be seen gathering pours for his lucky connoisseurs. Similar to absinthe, a sugar cube can be seen placed delicately atop each delicious drink. We can't wait to taste it!

Believe us when we say, this authentic 1935 French alcohol poster is guaranteed to command applause. Signed in the upper left hand corner.
