In the summer of 1932, a man by the name of Zane Grey led an expedition with about twenty guests to fish from a small island off the coast of Southern California, Santa Catalina. The group sailed on both fishing and hunting expeditions so that they could have fresh food for their voyage all over. They eventually reached Tahiti where they had more than enough game meat to eat which was quite different from what he usually ate at home because it consisted mostly seafood dishes like lobster and crab as well as fruits such as bananas, coconuts, oranges, guava's among other things. Footage from this trip became Zane Grey's 1932 documentary titled South Sea Adventures.

Zane Grey is known best for being one of America’s first popular fiction writers who wrote books relating specifically to American West, and those who sought adventure in this rugged landscape.. This magnificent stone lithograph is extremely rare, featuring a fantastic image of Grey hooking a Marlin that is being attacked by a shark!
