Exposition du Dessin Anime

Step into the charming world of animation with this 1946 "Exposition Du Dessin Anime" (Animated Design Convention) poster, a delightful testament to cartoon artistry.

Crafted by the skilled hand of artist Schell, this rare promotional piece heralded the animation exhibition at Brussels' esteemed Palais Des Beaux Arts. From November 23rd to December 20th, this event enchanted visitors with the magical world of animated storytelling.

How about these graphics! Schell's ingenious design features a playful mouse, artfully drawing Disney's iconic Mickey Mouse. This meta-artistic twist, a mouse portraying a mouse, wraps elegantly around a film strip, set against a rich dark green background with striking pink flourishes. This ingenious composition not only captures the spirit of animation, but also serves as a vibrant homage to the timeless art of storytelling through cartoons!
