Born in Augsburg, Germany, Martin Engelbrecht was a celebrated Baroque engraver and publisher in the late 17th and 18th century. Known for his expertly detailed and hand-colored depictions of historical fashion, daily life, and famed landmarks, it is no wonder his prolific illustrations have surpassed centuries of tribulation.

Here we have an authentic 287-year old hand-colored engraving of a King simply basking in his own prominence. Leaning proudly on his scabbard of the highest caliber, he is fitted to the nines in regal renaissance garb. With a crown atop his head and an assertive hand on his hip, we can't help but be drawn into every angle of this impressive illustration.

The perfect piece for the king or renaissance history in your life.
