This fantastic vintage bookplate was salvaged from the pages of a German Lexicon in 1895, and was printed by Bibliographisches Institut in Leipzig.

In 1895, Munich was already a bustling city in Germany, with a population of over 500,000 people. The city was known for its beautiful architecture, rich culture, and vibrant economy. The city's layout was based on a grid system, with wide streets and public squares.

The city's transportation infrastructure was also well-developed, with several tram lines and a network of horse-drawn carriages serving the city's residents. Additionally, Munich's main railway station was located in the city center, making it easy for visitors to access the city from other parts of Germany.

Overall, the 1895 city plan of Munich reflected the city's prosperity and growth, with a well-designed layout and thriving economy. Today, many of the buildings and landmarks from this time period still stand, making Munich a popular tourist destination for those interested in history and culture.
