This remarkable 130-year old map of Japan and Korea is a fascinating historical piece that highlights the political and geographic landscape of East Asia at the turn of the 20th century.

The borders and political divisions on the map reflect the complex history and tensions between Japan and Korea at the time. Japan had annexed Korea in 1910, but before that time, the two countries had a complicated relationship with Korea serving as a buffer state between Japan and China.

This fascinating piece of history provides the perfect window into the past. Salvaged from an old German bookplate, and printed by Bibliographisches Institut Leipzig in 1895.
