Art Deco

Art Deco emerged in the 1920s and ran through the late 1930s, a style built on geometric precision, bold color contrasts, and a deliberate glamour that suited everything from ocean liner advertisements to fashion illustration. It was the first major design movement to treat commercial work as a legitimate vehicle for fine-art ambition, and the posters and print work it produced reflect that confidence.
