Designed by the artist Jean Carlu, head of the Graphic Arts Pavilion at the Paris World Fair in 1937. The head of Marianne, a symbol of the French Republic, is on a backdrop of flags from the participating nations. Note the Nazi, US, and flags from other countries displayed side by side. A fantastic piece of history. 

Condition: Very Good. Conservation mounted on linen.
