This original 1921 stone lithograph by Lajos Marton puts the spotlight on Geisweiler et Fils, one of the long standing names in Burgundy wine production. Marton captures the elegance of the brand with a bold bottle of Geisweiler Réserve, suspended against a warm cream background that lets the deep reds and greens of the label shine. The design is crisp, modern for its time, and centered on the idea of quality as a visual statement rather than excessive ornamentation.
Marton was part of a generation of early twentieth century commercial artists who embraced clean forms, smooth gradients, and precise draftsmanship to give products a sense of prestige. His work for Geisweiler blends commercial appeal with refined artistic technique, which is exactly what made stone lithography the premium printing method of the era. The soft tonal shifts and saturated color seen here are classic hallmarks of true stone litho work.
Geisweiler et Fils dates back to the early nineteenth century in Nuits Saint Georges, a region known for expressive Pinot Noirs and a long tradition of négociant production. Posters like this were created to promote specific vintages and reserves, and the mention of years 1919 to 1921 highlights wines bottled in the years following the First World War, a period when Burgundy was reestablishing its presence in global markets. Pieces from this period are increasingly scarce, and Marton’s combination of clarity, balance, and rich coloration makes this a standout example of French wine advertising from the late twenties.

Our Guarantee
All of our posters are guaranteed to be authentic and as described in the product description to the best of our knowledge and belief, and in good faith. Quite simply, if you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, simply contact us within 14 days of receipt and we'll gladly accept your return, providing the item is in the same condition as it was sent.
Returns
Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. It must also be sent in the original packaging.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable). Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery may also be ineligible.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. Your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within two business days. Original shipping costs are not refundable.
