Hansel and Gretel...we've heard that story before! Better known as "Hänsel und Gretel" in its native German, this stage play debuted at the Stadtische Buhnen Theatre in Osnabruck, Germany in 1985. With composer Engelbert Humperdinck serenating the stage with the classics, it goes without saying that this theatrical spectacular was the talk of the town.

Now how about these graphics! Commissioned by theatre director Dr. Erdmut August, this harrowing poster came to life when he realized Polish illustrator Mieczyslaw Gorowski was perfect for the job. With an on-edge Hansel and Gretel stoic in stance, the evil witch to their exterior is quick to fall frighteningly into frame. Amazing and thought-provoking design at the hands of Gorowski.

The prefect addition for the vintage cautionary tale lover in your life.
