This lithographic poster, advertising an exhibition at the Musée Jacquemart-Andre in Paris, depicts a beautiful self-portrait of Marc Chagall. His face is lit from below, and he's holding a paint brush as he works on his seemingly upside-down canvas. A colorful figure stands beside him observing his work, this reoccurring figure is prominently represented in many of his pieces.
The 1979 La Ruche exhibition featured various artworks from some of France’s most elite artists-- just 7 years before Chagall's untimely passing. A true, rare piece of history!
