Forecast of Fashion- Delineator Magazine

The 1830s saw the rise of mass circulation magazines in America. Promoting greater consumption, these publications became popular as means to share everything from literature, philosophy, to sports and the current state of international affairs. Not to mention, they were a newfound opportunity for advertisers to capitalize on a novelty medium-- resulting in a new and attractive stream of revenue that would only encourage many others to soon develop publications of their own.

"Delineator" was a highly-popular women's magazine that launched in 1869 and ran until its final issue in 1937. Previously named "The Metropolitan Monthly", this highly-sought after magazine featured everything from fashion, food recipes, to wonderful short stories written by all female authors. Not to mention, it was also renowned for its captivating and delicate illustrations of fashionable women through its prominent 68 years of publication. 68 years of print runs.

This fantastic cover artwork was designed for the 1930 February release of the publication and features an incredible illustration a stylized rosy-cheeked women draped in a red silk cape. With an effortless primary pallet in tow, we can't find one thing not to love about this truly vintage design! Phenomenal cover artwork by Helen Dryden.

This timeless fashion statement will frame beautifully. 

Condition: Good. Minor border wear and age toning in accordance with documents age. Faint background smudges along top and bottom border. Creasing and small tears along borders.
