Wow, we just might be speechless with this one! With this phenomenal piece designed by big-time French artist 'Robys', it's illuminating divinity comes as no surprise. This spectacular design came to fruition in 1950 for the French wine company "Vins Guillot" to advertise their new wine, namely Monsoleil (or 'my sun' in English).

Now... if you look closely, that top hat looks a bit familiar! Could it be a nod to renowned French musician Maurice Chevalier? Yes, in fact! Robys, in tow with the rest of France in the 1950s, was a big-time supporter of the impact Maurice Chevalier had on the European arts and creative scene.

Not to mention, what fantastic color choices! With a seamless bleed of gold to crimson along the skirt of the sun, juxtaposed with a striking blue background - we can't find one thing not to love about this vintage gem. It goes without saying that this grandiose guzzling sun is guaranteed to catch a smile from all who feel its playful rays!

Condition: Very Good. Light background fading. Minor scuffs. Light background creases. Minor printer spots in center of the sun. Conservation mounted on linen. Please use zoom feature to get a better understanding of posters overall condition.

Year: c.1950 - 74 years old

Size: 44.0" x 60.5" (112cm x 154cm)
