Édouard Pignon was prolific in his exploration of various themes, including the working class and political figures. He worked closely with Pablo Picasso to fight against socialist realism that had been established by the Communist Party in the early 1950s. Pignon and Picasso formed an unbreakable artistic bond for the better half of 30 years; often debuting their collections at the Palais Galliera in Paris, France.

The Palais Galliera, formerly known as Musee Galliera, is a historic museum that was built in the 19th century and now houses one of France's most impressive collections of art and fashion. With over 100,000 pieces of timeless art and couture ranging from the 18th century to the modern day, this museum seamlessly showcases an iconic French ambient.
