Born in Augsburg, Germany, Martin Engelbrecht was a celebrated Baroque engraver and publisher in the late 17th and 18th century. Known for his expertly detailed and hand-colored depictions of historical fashion, daily life, and famed landmarks, it is no wonder his prolific illustrations have surpassed centuries of tribulation. In 1735 Engelbrecht created an incredible limited series of performers.

Illustrated here is a 287-year old guitar player serenading the public. With crimson breeches adorned with shimmering gold accents, it's impossible to not get lost in this elegant fashion statement!

It goes without saying that this hand-colored engraving is simply dripping in immaculate detailing. The colors are bright and bold, and the impressively crafted artwork will last for years to come. The perfect addition for the guitar player or renaissance man or woman in your life.

So I collect Augsburg copperplate engravings of the 18th century surely you have the Engelbrecht engravings also bought from this eBay seller from this I have also bought over 30 sheets which were pretty much all rare sheets of Engelbrecht and even sau cheap I have for example also the 4 elements of him bought there are some sheets with the elements but the with these representations I can not find anywhere except the water of which a sheet is in the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg but they have only the sheet the others they do not have and they have quite a few rare Augsburg sheets. When I have enough leaves I will make an illustrated catalog of my collection if you maybe know someone who has Augsburg leaves or you have again some then let me know Let's see maybe I strike at the other 2 of you also still but first again save money
