Cabaret was the entertainment industry of late 19th and early 20th century Europe, and it needed advertising. The posters and programs that came out of Paris, Berlin, and Vienna during that period were among the most visually ambitious commercial work of their time, with artists competing to make a single image stop a pedestrian mid-stride. The pieces shown here are period originals from that tradition.
