Wes Wilson was one of the handful of designers who invented the visual language of the psychedelic era. Working primarily for Bill Graham's Fillmore in San Francisco from the mid-1960s onward, he developed a lettering style where the characters seem to breathe and pulse, nearly illegible and instantly recognizable at the same time. That font became the typographic signature of the peace movement. The period originals here are from that moment of invention.
