A spectacular and rare poster for Finidol, a rheumatic and arthritic disease remedy. The blue Finidol man says it all, rescuing the patient from the clutches of the deadly octopus. Interesting to note that this was printed in the aftermath of the global Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918, when health and wellness was still top of mind. The ailments Finodol relieves are listed on the tentacles, including deforming rheumatism, migranes, insomnia, rheumatoid arthritis, and kidney pain to name a few. Printed by Vercasson, Paris with artwork by René Vincent.
Size: 18 x 24.5"
Condition: Good. Backed on older linen, which was previously trimmed to the edges of the poster. Restoration work in the title area. Minor paper loss near the head of the orange figure. Fading and minor scuffs are present. This rare beauty shows some wear, but gives off a fantastic vintage vibe. Colors are still bright and fresh.
