Borgward Automobiles (1950s)

What a hot ride! This beauty was manufactured by Bremen, Germany based auto manufacturer Carl Borgward. Hence, Borgward motors. This luxury vehicle was a novelty for the 1940s and production started shortly after WW2.

In the artwork we see a stunning olive-green Hansa 1500 held in parallel to the remarkable Great Pyramids of Giza. The pyramids are contrasted by a striking clear-blue sky and a sandy foreground, allowing the Borgward to be the focal point of the image. If we get anything from this graphic, it’s that this car will take you places! Great design by Willy Hanke.

Size: 27 1/4 x 38 1/4”
