The 1960s changed graphic design twice over. The first half belonged to European modernists working in clean typography and disciplined color. The second half belonged to the San Francisco psychedelic scene, where legibility went out the window in favor of pure color and motion. The pieces shown here are period originals from both sides of that decade.
