Vintage ski poster catches the rush of a 1960's ALTA powder day, and demonstrates why Utah lays claim to "The Greatest Snow on Earth." Alta is one of the oldest ski resorts in the West. The first lift began operations in January, 1939. The very next year the Alta Ski School opened, as did the Alta Lodge. In early 1942, paratroopers from the 503rd Parachute Infantry Battalion descended upon Alta for ski training. Following the war, Alta continued to grow, and by the 1960s was recognized as a world-class ski area.

This is a 50+ year old vintage original, printed by LooArt on high-quality, heavy poster paper. The colors are clear and bright, and the image quality is superb.
