Scotland's graphic output is smaller in volume than France or America's, but it punches above its weight in a few specific areas. Edinburgh was a center of fine printing and engraving from the 18th century onward, and the country later produced some of the most distinctive railway and travel promotion work of the early 20th century. The pieces shown here are period originals from that tradition.
