Mothers of Invention BG-97

Experience the vibrant world of 1960s counterculture with this original Bill Graham concert poster advertising Mothers of Intervention, Tim Buckley, and the Chambers Brothers playing at the Fillmore Auditorium and Winterland. From December 14th to December 16th, 1967, these musical pioneers came together to create an unforgettable experience.

Designed by renowned poster artist Stanley Mouse, this iconic piece showcases his visionary style. The central images are a captivating blend of two globes representing the world, intertwined with intricate flowers, an x-ray of a human hand, and a radiant sun. This eclectic mix of imagery encapsulates the spirit of the time, merging themes of peace, self-discovery, and cosmic exploration.

This specific BG-97 poster holds a unique historical significance. In the earlier part of the print run, Stanley Mouse unintentionally misspelled Bill Graham's name as "Grahm." The error was quickly identified, resulting in a halt to the production. The poster was subsequently reissued with a scratched "a" inserted between the "h" and the "m," correcting the spelling. Both versions are considered first-printings, with this corrected version categorized as BG-97-OP-2.

Embrace the cultural revolution of the 1960s by adding this Mouse exclusive to your growing collection.
