The Shepard Fairey Collection

Shepard Fairey came up through the skateboarding scene and, in 1989, launched the "Andre the Giant Has a Posse" sticker campaign while still a student at the Rhode Island School of Design. That project grew into the OBEY brand and a career defined by street-art aesthetics applied to political and commercial work at scale. His flat graphic style, bold typography, and limited color palettes translate unusually well to print. The works here are period originals from that practice.
